COMMUNITY SUPPERS
Creating space for deeper impact.
Bearings is a community hub for youth in southwest Atlanta centered around bikes and helping students develop the skills they need to move into adulthood successfully. From May through September, Bearings hosts weekly suppers after programming on Thursday nights. These meals are open to program participants and their families and create space for conversation and meaningful connection beyond the bike.
What is the format?
Bearings will begin hosting a weekly “community supper” after regular programming for conversation and relationship building.
This summer, community suppers will be held on
Thursday evenings 6-7:30 p.m. from May 16th through September.
How can I be involved?
Serving an average of 80 people each week, it takes a team of staff and volunteers to provide a great experience for our community. Community members, businesses, church or civic groups are invited to volunteer and help set-up, serve dinner, and converse with our guests! It’s a fun time had by all and unique way to get to know the Bearings community.
We ask volunteers to join us from 5:00-7:30.
