BIKE BUILD EXPERIENCES

WHAT IS A BIKE BUILD EXPERIENCE?

Bringing your team together to build bikes for Bearings is a fun, engaging way to get to know Bearings and support our mission in a tangible way. In a Bike Build Experience, your team will work in small groups of 3-4 people to assemble bikes that will be given to Bearings for programming purposes, either earned by kids or utilized in the mountain biking program. Your team will also be coached and assisted by young adults in our job training program, providing an added layer of unique mutual benefit. The experience takes about 1 - 1.5 hours and can be crafted to meet your specific team-building goals and objectives.

WHY A BIKE BUILD?

We believe the best partnerships are ones of mutual benefit. The best community engagement experiences for businesses large and small are ones that meet your goals as well. That’s why every experience is crafted to meet your specific team-building objectives. By offering up a team-building experience combined with the opportunity to give back, we believe a bike build experience is the best of both worlds!

How it works:

  • Bearings can accommodate groups of 10-40 in our space. We typically assign 3-4 team members to a bike. We can host builds Monday-Friday with several options for times during business hours.

Once we know what you’re looking for, we’ll put together a proposal for the Bike Build Experience. Pricing is determined by current costs of bicycles and facilitation needs. If you have budget constraints, we’re happy to discuss options to make the partnership happen!

  • We love to host teams at our beautiful facility in southwest Atlanta. Located on the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail in an area experiencing revitalization, Bearings Bike Works’ 6,000 square foot Garage is a unique and inviting facility to visit and see first hand what Bearings kids experience every day! Every experience begins with a welcome, introductory video about Bearings, and a fun ice breaker. Bearings staff will then guide your team through the bike build process. Teams will build their bikes from the bottom up with our staff giving minimal assistance. The goal is for groups to work together, communicate, and use critical thinking to build their bikes!

If it’s not possible to travel to Bearings for the experience, we’re happy to discuss hosting the event at your facility at a minor additional cost.

  • Want to enhance the experience for your team? Add some perks! You can pre-order Bearings merch for your team like T-shirts, tumblers, and pint glasses, or pick a few items as prizes for the winning team.

Bearings can also offer our conference room at no extra charge if you’d like to host a meeting or lunch as part of your bike build experience. Monday Night Brewing, Wild Heaven Beer, and Best End Brewing are just around the corner, so groups will often wrap up their time with Happy Hour. There are many options to make it a top notch experience!
