Bearings Bike Works is a youth development organization in the inner city of Atlanta uses bikes to teach youth the value of hard work, skill-building, and positive relationships. Through a unique earn-a-bike program, Bearings provides work-based learning that opens doors to promising futures and giving kids real-world experiences that prepare them for success in school and beyond. It's not just about fixing bikes; it's about building futures.

Our friends at the Southside Cycling Club and Line Creek Brewing Co. are
hosting a Bike Drive in support of Bearings Bike Works on Saturday, October 26th.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without the constant support of community members donating their old bikes so that we can give them a new life. If you have a bike you no longer use taking up space in your garage or basement, stop by Line Creek to drop off your donation. All bike donors will receive a free beer, and the first 50 donors will receive $5 off at Maguire’s Family Restaurant & Crosstown Grille!

We hope you’ll stick around to enjoy the company of members of the Southside Cycling Club community and learn more about Bearings Bike Works. We’ll have small bites and drinks and at 4pm, our team will share a bit more about the work we do during a brief program.

During the social we will have door prize drawings for attendees from our great event sponsors - must be present to win!

We hope to see you there!

THANK YOU TO OUR EVENT SPONSORS:

What donations can Bearings collect?

Bearings accepts bikes of all sizes, as long as they're not beyond repair or overly rusty. We also welcome donations of parts and gear (except cycling kits or helmets). These donations help stock our retail shop and online store, allowing us to serve customers nationwide while raising funds for youth skills development in Atlanta. Gently used shoes, gloves, and other accessories are also appreciated!
