Imagine your teen getting their first taste of the working world this summer—learning cool new skills, setting goals, and learning how to work with others to get things done. Bearings Bike Works is offering a Summer Internship Experience specifically designed for rising 9th graders this July. Teens will get hands-on with bike mechanics and hand tools, and contribute to work that matters. It will be a fun way to spark ideas about awesome career paths for kids who love tinkering and building with their hands!

Bearings exists to teach youth that hard work, skill development and strong relationships are the building blocks to bright futures. Start your career journey this summer and build a future that’s all yours.

ABOUT THE
PROGRAM

  • The internship experience will be a 3-week experience in July:

    Monday - Thursday, July 7-10, 14-17, 21-24, 2-4pm Daily.

    Students also have the option to stay for all or a portion of the Skills for Life program that is offered from 4:00-6:30pm.

  • Students will earn points as they work and advance through the program that they can use to buy a bike of their own at the end of the 3-week program!

  • Program enrollment is limited to 10 students so apply early to secure a spot!

  • Bearings provides programming where students to discover their strengths and opportunities for growth, often in areas they’ve never explored before. Students are regularly encouraged, challenged, and supported to learn more about themselves and develop, supported by mentor leaders. The program will be a great way for teens to start high school off on the right foot, learning about themselves and beginning to think about their futures!

  • Please complete this interest form and we’ll send you an application to complete. Parents will be asked to sign a commitment form acknowledging program details and committing to helping their student succeed in the program. The program application deadline is May 1 or when all slots are full, so don’t delay!
