Bikes and cycling gear are the life blood of all Bearings programming. And we depend on you to help us get them!
All bikes that are earned by students are donated from people just like you! Not only that, but they also serve as learning experiences as students work to learn the mechanics of them and teens refurbish them to sell in the shop. We use all bike sizes, and just ask that they’re not hopelessly wrecked or rusty. We also accept parts & gear donations, which help increase inventory in our retail shop as well as our online store, allowing us to serve customers across the country and raise even more funds for youth skills development in Atlanta.
Bring bikes or gently used cycling gear you’d like to donate by any time the Sales & Service shop is open. Help even more by donating $25 along with your bike to fund parts and the necessary work to render your old two-wheeler back to working condition. Receipts are provided for all donations.

Host a bike drive! We’d love to invite your church, business, community group or family to host a bike drive for Bearings! We can equip you with the resources and materials needed to share about Bearings’ mission and need and guide you on how to collect bikes. Contact Jessi to learn more.

We are partnering with ReSupply, a veteran owned and operated service that provides jobs by offering donation pickup and dropoff for other nonprofits. When can I donate a bike?
We accept bike donations at our Sales & Service shop Monday-Thursday from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Where can I donate a bike?
Donations are accepted at Bearings’ Sales & Service shop at 982 Murphy Ave. SW, Atlanta GA 30310.
The entrance to the shop is located on Brookline Street. Parking is available in the lot which is also accessed via Brookline Street. While you’re on campus, be sure to pop up to the Garage to see our youth program space first-hand!
How does Bearings use bike donations?
Bike donations serve two purposes at Bearings. Many youth bike donations are refurbished and used in our youth programs, where participants are able to earn them. Youth and adult bikes are also refurbished and sold in our Sales & Service, and proceeds are used to help fund our youth programs. Bike donations also help create more jobs for teens and young adults who work as paid associates repairing and refurbishing bikes.
